Year 5&6 students explored the three different scripts used in the Japanese written language. We discussed the visual differences and the ways each is used to express words and meaning in Japanese. It can be a big concept to grasp when we are looking at something so different to our familiar English alphabet, and it was great to see the students being curious about what they were learning.
